Meet Daniela

I  have 10 years of experience helping people with gluten intolerance, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Depression, Thyroid/Hormonal Imbalances, and Food Addiction craft healing diets and lifestyles for optimal health and well-being.  As a kitchen therapist it is my mission to educate and empower people to be their own health experts by activating their intuitive healing capability and inner chef.

I am passionate about helping people with gluten intolerance as I have it myself. It took me years of research  to finally learn that the root cause of my mood issues, digestive issues, hormonal problems, and over-eating came from having gluten intolerance. Gluten intolerance impacted every system in my body and every area of my life negatively. Now due to all the dietary and lifestyle changes I’ve made, my immune system and spirit are stronger than they have ever been. My pics below are a summary of me before and after going gluten-free.

Always felt sick after I ate—bloated, mentally foggy. I eat foods that support mental clarity and digestive ease.
Felt depressed and overweight. Suffer from binge-eating disorder. No self-esteem. I have  released 60 extra pounds as a result of releasing elimintion gluten and other foods I don’t tolerate. I have a balanced, peaceful relationship with food. I speak in front of large groups of people with confidence.
I had painful, chronic ear and sinus infections. At one point I couldn’t breathe out of my nose due to the severe congestion from my dairy allergy. I have no sinus congestion and very rarely have colds.
My digestive system was so destroyed I couldn’t even digest raw vegetables. I now eat huge salads happily with no ill effects.
Felt deprived all the time At peace with eating ‘uniquely’ and for optimal well-being. Make myself delicious food daily that I eat with gusto.
My life was full of anxiety, depression, and indigestion. I have learned to live a simpler, slower-paced life with many moments of peace and joy.
I felt being on a gluten-free diet isolated me from the world. I now feel connected to a whole new community of people and am inspiration for healing and health to my friends and family. Deepened sense of spiritual connection to all beings from cleansing my system of toxic foods and living a more mindful life.

My Educational Background:

  • Much of my knowledge of healing comes from my education at Naropa University where I received my B.A. in Contemplative and Somatic Psychology & my doctoral studies in Counseling Psychology at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology.  My education  focused on mind-body psychology, including how what and how we eat profoundly impacts our mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health.
  • I have worked  as a personal chef and caterer to people with Celiac Disease and Multiple Food Allergies in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • 9 years of meditation and yoga practice
  • 10 years of cooking instruction from native Italian chefs–Mediterranean diet expert (my name might be a tip-off that I am first-generation Italian-American). Maybe this is why I am a bit of a foodie.
  • I completed my colon hydrotherapy training at the International School of Colon Hydrotherapy and am certified as a Colon Hydrotherapist by the International Association of Colon Hydrotherapy.
