Dairy and Grain Free Pizza Crust and Gluten Free Search Engine
When I started to suspect I was gluten intolerant I spent almost all my free time weeding through all the conflicting information out there about Celiac Disease and Gluten Intolerance. I just found out there is a new gluten-free search engine called Gluten-Free Fox that was designed to save newly diagnosed folks from wasting the energy they should be spending healing on information weeding. Gluten-Free Fox was founded by Gluten-Free Lifestyle and Beauty Expert Kristen Campbell and her boyfriend Taylor at the end of 2008 “in order to help others who are living gluten free lives, like us, to easily find more accurate search results to their gluten-free questions.”
Besides being a search engine, Gluten Free Fox is packed with useful info: a BIG directory of gluten-free foods; a list of gluten-free experts to contact with burning questions; recipes; and myth-busting and actionable articles by doctors, chefs, and every-day gluten intolerant folks. Some of my favorite articles:
Can Enzymes Manage the Symptoms of An Accidental Gluten Slip?
Gluten and Obesity: Are Your Cells Starved by Local Bay Area Gluten Intolerance Expert Dr. Vikki Petersen of Health NOW Medical Clinic
Oh, and that Dairy and Grain Free Pizza Crust Recipe. It is almond based and uses eggs. If you are vegan or egg intolerant, I recommend making a flaxseed/water mix as an egg substitute using these instructions.
Kristen is also the founder of Naturallydah’ling.com, an awesome resource for gluten free and green beauty products of all types. If you had no idea that the gluten in your shampoo or lipstick could be the cause of still-lingering gluten intolerance symptoms, head on over to Gluten-Free Fox or Naturallydah’ling.com to get the scoop on how to avoid gluten in personal care and beauty products. I must confess I have yet to find a GF line of hair products that I love so I am thrilled about Naturallydah’ing and am going to make my way over there right now to do some shopping…
